The Cameroon
National Salvation Front party (FSNC) ,whose National President is Issa Tchiroma Bakary, has embarked on a
campaign to intensify the implantation of the party in the Southwest Region, in spite of
the on-going Anglophone crisis .
The Southwest
Regional Coordinator for FSNC, Nnange
Calvis Nkumbe, on Monday July 25,
chaired a regional meeting in Molyko-Buea, bringing together the party divisional and sub divisional coordinators,
as well as other members, to assess the growth of the party in the region
and strategize how to popularize it.

It emerged that the
FSNC exists in five of the six divisions of the southwest region. Only Ndian
Division is yet to have the presence of the FSNC,but the Southwest Regioal Coordinator told The
Horizon that the party will soon be launched there.
“By joining the FSNC it is an opportunity to partake in the management of our daily lives. The FSNC opens its doors to the youth, because they are the future of this country.Nnange noted,“FSNC is not only a political party but platforms for governance for we are poised to uplift standards. We teach people patriotism and nation-building. We focus on salvation, which is reconciliation between the past and the present. Like in the Southwest where there is a crisis we have to reconcile the past and the present to move to a brighter future. If we are here today, it is because we are managing the crisis and we hope to see its end soon”
The Manyu Divisional Coordinator
for
FSNC,Rev.Dr. Oben Mbikang Ernest lauded the party’s National President Issa
Tchiroma Bakary for “seeing in me a leader that would champion FSNC activities
in Manyu Division.”
According to him,
being a member of the FSNC party is a great choice “because the party opens its
doors to the youth, giving them the opportunity to make their contributions
towards nation-building.
Noting that
unemployment is a problem in Cameroon, Rev.Dr Oben pointed out that the party has
good employment programs.
“Our National
President being an engineer has been appealing to Cameroonian parents to
orientate their children towards professional studies …because he has realized
that in the near future there will be lots of skillful jobs in Cameroon and the
country may not have the professionals to handle such”, he remarked, urging the
youth of the Southwest Region to enroll, en masse, as FSNC members.
For her part, the
Kupe Muanenguba Divisional Coordinator, Ekinde Highly Epede, said being a
leader in the party has attracted many women to the FSNC. She implored women to
join the FSNC in their numbers, enroll in electoral registers and vote for
peace-loving and development-focused leaders, whom she added, abound in the
FSNC.
Chief Rev. Pastor Paul
Molua Tonga of Lower Ewonda Village, Buea Subdivision, an FSNC official,
admitted that the party is young in the Southwest Region, but advised that “we
have to do everything legally and morally right to make it grow rapidly.”
The Southwest FSNC
resolved, among other activities, to launch soon a regional football tournament
with handsome cash prizes and trophies and embark on massive voter registration
of youths in the electoral registers while promoting youth empowerment programs
to help solve the unemployment crisis in the country.
It should be noted
the FSNC National President,Issa Tchiroma Bakary,is Cameroon’s Minister for Employment and Vocational
Training and former Minister of
Communication.
