one thousand (1000) fully-funded Indian Government scholarships, to study in
world-class universities in India.

opportunities in India as well as “work and study “opportunities in Canada. They
will stay in Buea for 11 days, engaged in the daily counseling and registration
of applicants, from 18th -29th April (9am - 5pm).
Addressing many high
school and university students who converged on Eta Palace Hotel-Molyko,Buea, Mbameg,
who said he wanted many Cameroonians to study abroad and return with new and more skills to help
enhance development in the country, urged students to take advantage of the
Bachelor’s and Master’s degree scholarships offered by the Indian Government
,as well as the ‘study and work’
opportunities in Canada .
He explained what is
required to benefit from the opportunities being offered, noting that winners
of the scholarships will be known after an online competitive exam, organized
in July by the Study in Indian Board and
facilitated by GES.
“All what applicants need to do is: register
with us, write a two-hour exam in July and pass to benefit from the massive
scholarship scheme”, he told The Horizon. “The scholarship is for bachelor and
master’s degree levels only.”
The GES boss particularly
appealed to Upper Sixth students to get registered so that after this year’s GCE
they will write the exam -and when the results are out in September, they can
easily travel to India.
He said, “The scholarships
are offered by the Indian government to specific universities in India”
Mr.Mbameg, who is the
accredited representative of the selected universities for the scholarships, said
the 1000 fully-funded scholarships cover tuition, accommodation and feeding.
He said GES, which is
headquartered in Yaounde, represents over 300 universities world-wide and in
India alone it represents over 25 universities including 12 that are under this
scholarship programme.
“The scholarship recipients
will go to specific, highly-rated universities designated by the Indian
government”, Mbameg disclosed.
