Party Implantation: Southwest FSNC Invites Issa Tchiroma to Visit Region

The Southwest Branch of the Cameroon National Salvation Front party (FSNC) has extended an invitation to the party’s National President, Issa Tchiroma Bakary,to urgently visit the Southwest region to reinforce the implantation of the party there.

 Issa Tchiroma’s invitation was channeled through the Mayor of Garoua III and Politcal Bureau member, Moussa Firrisou on Thursday Novemver 24 in Buea.

Mayor Moussa was in Buea to meet with the Southwest party officials and get first-hand information with regards to   the implantation of the party in the region.

Meeting in the Conference Hall of Mariton Hotel,Buea   Southwest officials of the party who included a good number of traditional rulers  and led by the  FSNC Southwest Regional Coordinator, Nnange Calvis  Nkumbe, told the visiting Political Bueau Member that despite  few challenges they were facing the  membership of party was on the rise.

Happy with the warm reception accorded him in Buea, Mayor Moussa urged the regional party officials to continue fishing for members, so to make the party the region’s best platform for resolving socio-economic and other developmental problems. He called on the elected regional FSNC officials to work for the interest of the populations rather than trying to the please the National President.

 Mayor Moussa said the National President does not impose candidates on elective party positions, but has always stood for  free and fair election of officials.

 It was the unanimous decision of Southwest FSNC officials that the party’s national President should pay a visit to the region soonest.

“We wish to see our National President in Buea”, Nnange told Mayor Moussa, adding that a mega rally of the FSNC would soon be organized in the Southwest Region.

Speaking on behalf of South-west traditional rulers in the FSNC, Chief Paul Molua Tonga of Lower Ewonda-Buea, said: “We, the chiefs of this party want to see the National President here-even next week.We are ready to welcome him. FSNC is the only opposition party that has the chiefs at heart”

Chief Molua Tonga claimed that the FSNC is not an ally of the CPDM but “we support the President of the Republic, Paul Biya”

Mayor Moussa accepted to transmit the Southwest invitation-to-visit to the party’s National President Issa Tchiroma Bakary. . He promised to accompany the National President to the Southwest region, when he will have decided to visit.

The FSNC National President,Issa Tchiroma Bakary,is also Cameroon’s  Minister for Employment and Vocational Training and  former Minister of Communication.

The FSNC is new in the Southwest region –just less than two years old and reportedly has over six thousand registered members with women and youths topping the list.

The FSNC exists in five of the six divisions of the Southwest region. Only Ndian Division is yet to have the presence of the FSNC.
