University College of Technology, Buea:“We Are Fully Equipped to Train the Best Engineers in Africa”

The University College of Technology, UCT Buea-Cameroon is fully equipped to train the best engineers in Africa, a top official of the institution has said.
Paul Arrey Abunaw, registrar of UCT who made the statement, was speaking to journalists last October 29, during a press conference organized to end activities marking the college’s orientation week.

“We are fully equipped to train the best engineers in the continent”, Mr Arrey Abunaw boasted. “Nobody leaves the University College of Technology and is at home for one day. If there is one job out there and the competition is fair, the UCT graduate will pick up the job”

The Registrar said UCT, which has as one of its mentors, University of Buea, Cameroon’s most prestigious state-owned university, has been operating for eight years.

 “It has been 8 years of Total Quality Technical Production-Oriented Professional Education,” he said, adding that graduates of the institution become what he described as “Total Quality engineers, managers, entrepreneurs or professionals”

UCT students and Lecturers
UCT awards from first to terminal degrees. “Training in University College of Technology leads to University of Buea Degrees and the Ministry Education Higher (Cameroon) Professional Diplomas (HND/HPD)”

Mr.Arrey Abunaw noted that UCT‘s international reputation is growing because it trains not only Cameroonians but foreigners such as Ngerians, and Tchadians.It was said that,UCT has graduated students who are today big employers/job creators, engineers/directors in both public and private sectors in different countries.
