Cameroon: Call for Unconditional Discharge of over 136 Southern Cameroons' Activists Sued


 PRESS RELEASE 
    Following the clampdown by La Republique du Cameroun Security Forces on participants at the massive peaceful manifestation by unarmed Southern Cameroonians  in Buea on Saturday 1st October 2011,  when some 200 persons, including journalists, were indiscriminately arrested and detained, while their leader Mola Njoh Litumbe was put under house arrest, a heavily attended Review Meeting of the frontline Southern Cameroons nationalist groups took place in Buea on 13th November 2011 to assess events to date and to plan the way forward.

  The meeting took the following Resolutions:

1.       Expresses total solidarity with the Southern Cameroons Patriotic Front created in Oslo and Washington DC, comprising all  the frontline nationalist groups committed to the independence of  Southern Cameroons, as well as to the local  PCF administration created in Southern Cameroons on 11th September 2011 for the orderly management of activities of the Coalition Front on home ground;

2.      With a view to reinforcing the local management  of the PCF headed by Mola Njoh Litumbe, Barrister Shufai Blaise Berinyuy of the Ambazonia Restoration Movement was elected second Vice Chairman/ Legal Adviser;

3.      Expresses grateful thanks to all Southern Cameroonians at home and abroad, who contributed in various ways to the successes scored on 1 Oct 2011, when the plight of Southern Cameroonians was vividly brought  to the attention of the international community as evidenced by the extensive coverage given to the events by the world and domestic press organs;

4.      Calls on La Republique du Cameroun to unconditionally discharge the 136 Southern Cameroonians charged before the Buea Court of First Instance, as well as those serving sentences, for alleged acts of “secession”;

5.      For the effective raising and accountability of funds to finance activities of the struggle, the meeting resolved that all Southern Cameroonians should each contribute the sum of 1000 frs cfa against an official PCF Receipt, only to Mola Njoh Litumbe who was designated  Chairman of the Ways & Means Committee  by the PCF in Washington DC for reasons of proper accountability;

6.      The PCF is the umbrella organization of all participating nationalist groups which saw the necessity for a Coalition so as to accelerate the liberation struggle.  All Cameroonians should therefore intensify their prayers to God Almighty to bless our efforts in this JUST CAUSE.
