Fako West Legislative Election: Hon Monjowa Lifaka, the choice of stability and progress

By Ekema Emmanuel Likine*

It is an established fact that God sends a liberator and a pacesetter to every generation in this world. The above mentioned assertion can be likened to the rise to power of Hon. Emilia Monjowa Lifaka in the Fako West constituency some years ago.

This fervent servant of her people has done everything humanly possible to improve the lives of her people in so many domains of life. Her activities can be outlined in the following perspectives:

Part One: Youth Empowerment: Hon. Lifaka has for the past ten years, facilitated the recruitment of 15 youths at the Cameroon National Assembly. It goes without any doubts that the employment of these youths from underprivileged backgrounds has gone a long way to improve their lives and that of their respective family members.

For over ten years, Hon. Lifaka has sponsored youths across her constituency to OIC Buea spending approximately 15 million francs Cfa. Most of these youths are self employed today while others are serving the State and private companies all over the country.

For over twelve years today, Hon. Lifaka has sponsored more than 150 young boys in her constituency to workshops all over Fako Division. Most of of these children have graduated and they are now sole proprietors. This lofty program is estimated at 12 million as of now.

As far as the empowerment of the girl child is concern, Hon. Lifaka has sponsored more than 200 young girls all over her constituency to train at the women's empowerment centre in Buea and others with IVTC Buea. This program has costed her close to 15 million so far.

Most of the girls who graduated from the women empowerment centre now serve in the Parliamentary Flat Hotel under the Government payroll while those from IVTC Buea are serving in so many Government offices nation-wide. Their employment was personally negotiated  by Hon. Lifaka.

For over 15 years today, Hon. Lifaka has steadily paid school fees and provided school needs to more than 500 children across her constituency. These children range from nursery,  primary, secondary and universities. This initiative has costed her close to 20 million this far.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Dear Militants of the Fako West Constituency, fellow voters,  from the above mentioned activities, you can see for yourself that your hunting dog as she is known in the political world, has lived up to her expectations this far. As we all know, experience is not bought in the market.

This is to say that our beloved mother has the necessary experience, exposure and connections  to continue to champion the course of leading her people. Come out massively on February 9 and vote the CPDM Party so our humble servant can continue to fight for our well-being and progress. Stay tuned to part two .....( Infrastructural  Achievements)
