Dr.FRU is Founder / CEO of Dr.Fru's Garden of Eden International Healing and Research Foundation (Dr.Fru's GEIHR Foundation) with headquarters at Wonya Mavio, Mile 18, Muea Road-Buea, Cameroon.
OBJECTIVES OF THE FOUNDATION
-To educate the rural and urban populations as to the value of Traditional or Natural Medicine.
-To set up research in Natural Medicine so as to regain its lost status.
-To increase access to acceptable quality health services to people of rural and urban environment
-To mobilize the urban communities to initiate and participate in decisions that will improve their health status and general living conditions through change of Western negative doctrine against Traditional Medicine.
-To augment and use traditional Medicine for healing and curing of diseases.
-To set up research in target areas and in other health institutions in order to augment the better management of the health system.
-To work in close collaboration with other research institutes in the area of Natural Medicine.
-To develop existing Traditional risk sharing through health financing schemes, and provide alternative and convenient ways of financing health care in order to set up access of everyone to modern Traditional Medicine health services.
EVOLUTION OF THE INSTITUTION
The Institution was founded in 1995 in Kumba, moved to Limbe in 1996 where I continued with further research in Natural Medicine. In 1996, I came up with my first ever discovered natural medicinal product for the treatment of nearly all sort of skin diseases. Because of the effectiveness of this Medicine, the Delegation of Public Health invited me to transfer closer to them in Buea. I then re located to Bolifamba, Mile 16, in Buea. There, I established and came up with my first ever renowned health institution called, Garden of Eden Medicinal Herb Center for All. The high demand of my services in the country forced me to start opening branch clinics in other regions of the country and by mid 1998, the name of the Institution was changed to, Garden of Eden Natural Clinics Cameroon ( GAENAC-CAM).
I became a registered member of National Association of Cameroon Traditional Doctors on September 8,1997 and I was classified as a registered and recognized Cameroon Traditional Doctor with its Headquarters in Yaounde-Cameroon. On 29th March 1999, I was also registered with Groupe International des Guerisseurs Traditionennels Africains with registration number 382/AL and headquarters based in Douala-Cameroon.
In 2003, the Institution was transformed into a Non-Governmental Organization in order to meet my vision as far as health is concerned in Cameroon, Africa and the world. We came up with the first ever school of Traditional Medicine know as, Garden of Eden Institute of Natural Medicine Cameroon (GAEINAMED-CAM) , registered by the government with registration number 079/G37/D9/1/Vol.7/102/OAPP/66.
In order for the name of the Institution to reflect our diverse activities, the Dr.Fru's Garden of Eden International Healing and Research Foundation (Dr.Fru's GEIHR Foundation) was created in 2010 which embodies training of Natural Health Practitioners, research and healing and philanthropy in which we give food, Medicine, clothing amongst others to the less privilege in the society.
In October 10 and 11 2006, I was invited by the government to represent the South West Region of Cameroon in the drafting of the law that will govern Traditional Medicine in Cameroon.
I was equally invited to represent the South West Region of the Country in working on the final draft on Tuesday 4th December 2007.
ACITIVITIES OF THE FOUNDATION
On our various activities priority has been given to:
-RESEARCH
Here we carry out a lot of research in various domains of health without limitations. We carry out research with Traditional experts in different domains of Traditional Medicine both in villages and cities, in and out of the country. We also carry out a lot of research on print materials, audiovisual systems, the internet, religious and traditional groups. In our research works, we have also been attending seminars, conferences and workshops on Traditional Medicine and health both in and out of the country, and, I have been a resource person in many conferences e.g. Global Summits on HIV/AIDS, Traditional Medicine and Indigenous knowledge, organized by "Africa First", in different countries in Africa and many other Symposiums on "Botanique Africaine" or African Botanicals.
Our research works are based on the plant, mineral and animal kingdoms of which Traditional Medicine tailors on. Over 18 years of research and practice, we have been able through research to come up with more than one hundred and fifty (150) medicinal products of diverse uses, with efficacy, safety and affordability being given priority to. Under our research works, amongst many of our products, we have been able to come up with a medicinal product with name: TRY-ME, that helps in bringing almost holistic healing to the system and this product has won several national awards over the years. It has also been tested and proven with the E.I.S machine by some researchers in Germany to be good and effective.
-EDUCATION
From 1995 till date, I have won several awards for Research in Natural Medicine in Cameroon. The Institute for the training of Natural Health Practitioners is the first of its kind in Cameroon. We have been impacting knowledge of Natural Medicine to so many youths. I am proud to say that since inception till date we have been leading in the promotion of Traditional Medicine in both the print and audiovisual media. We have equally trained so many youths on the importance and value of Traditional Medicine whom we used to send to streets of towns and villages, and they move from door-to-door, office to office, educating the society on the value and importance of eating and living naturally. We also have a Mobile Health Delivery System which periodically goes to the hinterland to educate the people thereby bringing health and wellness to those who do not have the means to travel and meet us in our different branches. We equally produce health leaflets / newsletters on which we educate the society on Nature and Healing.
Because of the great work God has been using us to do in and out of Cameroon, many researchers have been visiting us from Cameroon, Ghana, Nigeria, France, Asia and many other countries and continents to carry out research on diverse domains in Traditional Medicine and diseases / illnesses. Many conventional health institutions for training have been using us as a priority in research in Natural Medicine.
Students from many universities, most especially the University of Buea, are sent to us for research during their final year.so to come up with their projects for Degree certificates.
Also, many Anthropologists carry out a lot of research in our Foundation.
Over 18 years of practice, hundreds of youths have been trained in Dr.Fru's Garden of Eden International Healing and Research Foundation (Dr.Fru's GEIHR Foundation) who are now operating as traditional health practitioners in different towns and villages of the country with many operating modern traditional clinics.
Because of the sound education we have been giving out through our health crusades over the years, demystifying Traditional Medicine, propagating the knowledge of its importance to each and every one of the society and making people to know the dangers of consuming non-natural products, many individuals and groups such as pastors, religious bodies who used to shy away from Natural Medicine due to little or no insight on Natural Medicine or wrong doctrine, now visit us even in broad day light to consult and consume from Nature.
TREATMENT / HEALING AND COUNSELING
From our intensive research works over one and a half (1 ½) decade (as from 1995), we have to our credit more than 150 medicinal products of multiple uses that are stocked in the pharmacies of the different branches of our Clinics in the country for the treatment of illnesses starting from simple, multiple and complex health crisis, including those considered incurable in Conventional Medicine such as: Hernia(s), Cancers, Epilepsy, Asthma , Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lumbersponylosis, Chronic STIs such as, Herpes, Hepatitis B and C and a lot more.
We have succeeded in treating so many patients with different types of cancers even when some have already been declared incurable in many hospitals in and out of Cameroon. We have some of their testimonies documented in videos and some conventional doctors can also testify to this.
Because of the effectiveness of our medications, many conventional health institutions refer patients to us daily but behind closed doors since they cannot do it in the open for fear of risking their Jobs because of the politics, monopoly /"Mafia" that exist in Medicine.
Our Foundation has evolved to the level that we employ conventionally trained nurses then train and orientate them to work as Tradi-Medical Nurses (TMN). We equally have laboratories in the various Clinics been managed by Laboratory technicians / scientists which we use to increase the probability of our diagnoses before and after treatment for most cases.
We equally have a Production Unit where we process and manufacture our Medicinal Products. We get our plants, mostly from the Tropics and a few from Asian countries which we use to produce the different types of medications that are supplied to our different Clinics in the country and to our promoters, consumers and patients to other parts of the world.
We also counsel patients more especially those suffering from psycho-somatic disorders/diseases. We counsel people on how to live a healthy life by cultivating good habits of thinking, eating and associating with the creator-God in order to live in health, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. In a nut shell, we carry out holistic health practice.
PHILANTHROPY
This is the area that caused the change of name of my Institution to a Foundation since one of our greatest area of health deals with the provision of food, medicines, clothing and shelter to the less privilege ones in the society. Over the years, we have helped so many, more especially the Blind, Orphans, Widows and Widowers, and many physically challenged by giving them food, clothing, Medicine and helping some to get a shelter. We have equally helped many by giving them capital to start businesses for themselves.
We do not only end in helping this group of people, we also help in promoting young talented individuals in different spheres of life by sponsoring their projects to realization.
We visit blind centers, orphanages, the deaf and dumb institutions, prisons; Institutions or Organizations taking care of street children and many others, counseling and educating them on health and Natural Medicine as we also donates food, medicine and clothing to them.
In fact, my greatest joy comes when I give to the one in need because, I believe "One has health in what he has and makes a life from what he gives".
Conclusively, we find more pleasure in giving because my belief teaches me that "Givers are more Blessed" and we are really experiencing this in the achievements we make each day.
ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE FOUNDATION
Our greatest achievement is that we have been able to change the mentality of so many Cameroonians, Africans and the world to believe in Natural Medicine equally known as Traditional Medicine. Our priority has been on the youths.
We have successfully come up with so many natural medications in the cure of diseases including those declared incurable by conventional medicine such as Hernia(s), Diabetes, Hypertension, Asthma, Hepatitis, Herpes, and chronic STIs amongst others.
We have been able to come up with so many medications that are performing wonders in supplying natural radiation / energies to aid in detoxifying, cleansing and revamping the system thereby freeing it from nearly all stressor agents such as morbid, toxins, and many others, giving room or facilitating the system to heal itself.
As of present we have as credit more than one hundred and fifty (150) medicinal products produced which are found in the shelves of our pharmacy in the different Clinics we operate in the Country, thanks to the great research I have been carrying out burning the "Midnight Candles" over 18 years of intensive research.
Many researchers both at home and abroad have also testify positively to the verity of the effectiveness of TRY-ME . In 2008, TRY-ME was registered with a Trade Mark in Nigeria, West Africa.
TRY-ME has also won many awards and accolades for its effectiveness and non-challengeable effect in its healing domain which is almost unlimited. TRY-ME is a product composed of more than 45 plants amongst which are 24 plants regarded as "King Plants" or "Plants of Life" in many African cultures/ traditions and / or communities, and 48 well selected spices of high medicinal properties also known in different African communities and Traditions as "spices for life", all well composed from research to come up with this single product known as TRY-ME or The Miraculous Powder or The Balm of Africa.
In fact, TRY-ME is a general body detoxifier, cleanser, builder, balancer and activator full of invigorating and healing energies.
Sincerely speaking, I, the producer cannot go without TRY-ME. I believe in it, I live on it and I hardly fall sick thanks to the handwork of God working on me through TRY-ME. Amongst many uncountable achievements, we have received awards from so many reputable Press organs in the country:
